Procedure:

Remove excess fat from the rump roast. Put roast in a slow cooker. Add the beef broth, onion soup and beer. Cook on LOW for 7 hours. To prepare the sandwiches, split the French rolls and spread with butter. Slice meat slantwise then bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Put the meat inside the rolls. Serve with your favorite sauce for dipping.

Another recipe is a flavorful Slow Cooker Pork Roast & Vegetables. This is actually pork and sirloin roast with vegetables, spices and apple butter seasoning, or depending on what ingredients you're craving for.

Ingredients:

- 3 pounds pork sirloin roast, boneless- 4 sweet potatoes, peeled- 3 tablespoons prepared horseradish- 1 tablespoon cornstarch- 2 acorn squash- cup apple butter- teaspoon ground all-spice- teaspoon pepper- salt- oil

Procedure:

Heat oil in a heavy skillet and add the pork roast, turning from time to time until all sides are uniformly browned. Cut squash into 8 wedges. Cut sweet potatoes with skin into chunks. Put together inside the crock pot and place browned pork roast on top. In a separate bowl, mix together apple butter, cornstarch, horseradish, all spice, salt and pepper, season to taste. Pour mixture into the crock pot. Simmer for about 7-8 hours or until pork and vegetables are tender.
