Most of the files are lost because we don't back them up regularly. Backing up files is important but we don't back up files because they are a lengthy process and they take up lots of time. You might accidently delete a file, a virus might delete a file, it might be hacked, and a fire could fry your hard drive. Losing important office files, family photos etc. are not fun. So backing up your computer is one way to make sure that the files important to you are safe. Manually backing up flies continuously is a time consuming process and it requires a lot of patience. Apple's Time Capsule solves this problem. Time Capsule is a wireless hard drive which is a fully features 802.11n Wi-Fi base station with simultaneous dual-band support. This makes the home networking and file exchange faster and easier. Time Capsule is compatible with both Windows PC and with Mac operating systems. Home networking and file exchange is further made easier because both Windows and Mac operating systems can access them. You can also print documents from any computer to which Time Capsule is connected to.

Time capsule is great for two purposes... first, it acts as a backup hard disk; it wirelessly backs up your data without any human intervention. Second, it acts as an external hard disk storage device. What really awesome is that you can store all your data in it and view time on different computer wirelessly. This means you can put in anything - movies, music, view photos etc. There is no delay in straming the media and its playback to you, everything is happening wirelessly. You do need to have a good internet connection if you want to stream the movies and/or watch YouTube videos.

Time Capsule works seamlessly with Time Machine in Mac OS X Leopard and Snow Leopard and with 1TB of space, it serves both as a great backup hard disk (it wirelessly backs up without you ever realizing it's doing anything) and external hard disk for extra storage. Perhaps the best feature is to store all your data on it and be able to run things wirelessly i.e. you can see pictures, play music, movies all from Time Capsule's hard disk. You could export your entire music collection to Time Capsule and iTunes will play it without any delay over your wireless network from any computer.
